Internetwebbureau does provide the following engagement models in pricing for webdesign and webdevelopment services; these models can also be combined or complemented with e.g. offshore training of customer’s staff in India or training on-site, at fraction of costs compared with the prices of training in the western world.
All models prices are pre-negotiated and payments in installments in advance which exception of the last installment which to be settled upon final delivery.
The three most common price models are:
- Fixed Price
Under the fixed price model, staff allocation is done for a fixed period of time of the project. The client is responsible for the requirement specifications. We are responsible for managing planning and delivery based on the specifications given.
This type of model works best for projects where the scope and requirement specifications are clearly defined.
For any change in scope we follow a standard change request procedure at a predefined fixed hourly rate agreed at the initial stage of the start of the project.
- Time and Material
Under the time and material model, the client pays per use of the hourly development efforts. We follow a strict project management and reporting practices whereby we work hand in hand with our client for execution of the project.
This type of model works best where the scope and requirement specifications are not clearly defined. Once the scope is clear the time and material model can be converted to the fixed price model.
- Dedicated Team
Under the dedicated team model, staff (minimal one person) are solely dedicated to you as if it is your own staff for a fixed period of time.
The client is responsible for managing planning and delivery, while we handle operational issues such as hiring, training and general management.
This type of a model works best for on-going development needs and offers the flexibility to balance the team size and composition to the workload.
Three less common models, only in special circumstances, are:
- Offshore Development Center (ODC)
Under the Offshore Development Center model, a dedicated offshore development facility will be set up with a dedicated team, equipment and infrastructure essentially as a virtual extension of the client’s in-house development facility. We partner with our clients to invest in replicating their IT environment, training our teams, setting up communication & security systems and align our webdevelopment processes with theirs.
This type of model works best for clients who wish to collaborate with us for a long term.
- Build-Operation-Transfer (BOT)
Under this Build-Operate-Transfer model, the clients contracts us to build his own offshore development center and manage it for a fixed interim period of time mutually decided. We will initiate operations and once we reached operating stability the ownership will be transferred to the client.
This type of a model works best when client wants to have their own ready- to-use offshore development facility in a more efficient, cost-effective and faster way than it can be done with an in-house effort.
- On-site
Experienced staff will be sent to the client on location for knowledge transfer and project execution. The staff have large experience with handling offshore teams and executing projects as per client requirements. They are skilled to document requirements, testing and deployment of web applications at the client location and/or transfer knowledge to team members in India.
This type of model works best where the scope and requirement specifications are not clearly defined and immediate intensive involvement is needed.
